The Tolleson Limited Company Relocates Office to better serve our clients

Columbia, SC (December 2015) - The Tolleson Limited Company recently announced plans to move its corporate office to the Greystone Blvd. area of Columbia in December of 2015. The new office is approximately four miles closer to the City of Columbia than its prior location.

For Tolleson Ltd., a professional engineering firm exclusively serving the civil engineering discipline, the new office space means improved client service, new amenities for employees and room for growth.

“The floor plan provides greater efficiency in how we serve clients. As we started to outgrow our current office, we needed meeting space, modern offices and a designated lab and field operations area. We expect this to improve internal and external communication, and most importantly our speed in responding to client driven design and construction schedules,” said its President, Andy Tolleson, PE, D.GE.

“We were fortunate to find such a nice space so close to our current office. We really wanted to limit the impact that relocation could have on our clients and our employees. I don’t think we could have found a better location for our team. Our new location and enhanced operational efficiencies will help us continue to grow and evolve to keep pace with our client’s needs, allowing us to provide exceptional value and superior service along the way,” said Ai Eliadorani, PhD, PE, PLS Tolleson Ltd. Associate Vice President.

The Tolleson Limited Company new address is:

Tolleson Engineers Complete designs and Construction Oversight of Heavy Duty Industrial Haul Road in Richland County

September 2013
(Richland County, SC) Vulcan Materials Company is the largest crushed aggregate producer in the USA. The Vulcan Quarries produce rock and stone that have been used in road paving and building construction through the Midlands for more than 30 years. The Dreyfus Quarry is located in the north central portion of the County near the Richland County landfill facility. Recent expansion of the Dreyfus Quarry requires the excavation and stockpiling of the more than two million cubic yards of clean sand and clays. The Tolleson Limited Company was engaged by Vulcan to design and oversee construction of a heavy duty industrial haul road connector between the quarry and landfill. The haul road was designed by Tolleson engineers to support massive 156,000 lb off-road equipment that are actively using the new roadway to deliver huge loads of soil. Tolleson Limited also provided feasibility, planning and permitting documents that resulted in the quarry operator donation of more than 1 million cubic yards of overburden soil for beneficial use by the County in maintenance of the County’s nearby landfill operations. Tolleson engineers delivered the design solution within client requirements and budget.

Richland County (SC) Department of Public Works Approves Fast-Track Alternative Dirt Road Paving Design and Construction for Rural Roads

August 2013
(Richland County, SC) The Tolleson Limited Company in collaboration with CECS, Inc and JB Ladner were competitively selected by Richland County (SC) Public Works to implement a new Pave-in-Place dirt road paving program. Pave-In-Place is similar to dirt road paving programs that result in economical base stabilization options. The engineering work by Tolleson Limited and CECS was provided under fast-track delivery and included comprehensive county-wide evaluation of all dirt roads in the County inventory. An initial grouping of 45 roads were determined as meeting eligibility standards for implementation of economical light duty paving using a combination of traditional gravel, or, cement stabilized earth base. The pave-in-place program is being applied to dirt roads that are located throughout the counties extensive rural unincorporated areas. The current unpaved conditions of the dirt roads are prone to flooding, raveling and erosion on a regular basis. The Tolleson Limited and CECS team has developed construction plans for 45 roads on a fast-track delivery that eliminates the problems of pot holes and dust that go along with dirt roads. Tolleson is implementing alternate pavement standards on ten of the 45 roads to allow more roads paved with limited dollars. Paving began in fall 2013 and will resume in the Spring of 2014. The Tolleson Limited Company and CECS Team have delivered on time and under budget designs for a significant portion of the County dirt road inventory.
